Youth entering the 8th grade or higher, may be eligible to become a 'Junior Coach.' A junior coach assists staff with field set-up, clean-up and assists our athletes throughout the camp day.

Special emphasis is placed upon responsibility, reliability, and building confidence in the sport camp work environment.

There are limited positions available. A code of conduct and camp rules must be recognized and signed by both the Junior Coach and their parent. Families interested in the Junior Coach Program should contact Coach Scott through e-mail. There are no set hour requirements, nor are there any set times of arrival or departure for our Junior Coaches. Junior Coaches and their families decide upon their own personal schedule for camp and Sport Camp simply obliges. Teens and families are busy during the summer, and SDTSC understands this and is honored to have kind, responsible, Junior Coaches at camp whenever they are available.

Traditionally, Wednesdays have become the Junior Coach Trip and they, along with staff, choose to go to the beach, kayaking, to a movie, get lunch, etc. Junior Coaches bring and manage their own money.

Being a Junior Coach is fun and rewarding. It creates self-confidence and fun memories for our participants, the JC's, and staff. This program is very popular and will fill-up fast.

Fees: One-time fee of $125 for the entire summer (regardless of amount of participation); includes two Junior Coach T-Shirts.
